Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.

However, the quality of the brand is still supported by many artists and continues to be sought after.

This is a 5-string Jazz Bass from the Fender Japan era.

It's a model that uses the still-popular 5-in-line tuners.

Customizations have been made in various places.

The body is ash, and the fretboard is rosewood.

This is a combination that has become increasingly popular in recent years.

The pickups have been replaced with DELANO JC 5 AL pickups.

The preamp is a Bartolini XTCT, MCT-375.

The wiring and potentiometers have all been replaced, and the cavity has been shielded.

The hardware has been upgraded with GOTOH tuners, HIP SHOT tension pins, and a Fender American High Mass Vintage Bass Bridge Chrome.

A new pickguard has been installed, and a groove has been added for accessing the truss rod.

The nut has also been replaced.

These are all practical custom modifications.

It possesses the tight low end and punchy high end characteristic of a Jazz Bass, making it a versatile instrument suitable for any genre or situation.

This is a bass I would recommend to anyone looking for a modern, active 5-string bass.

The truss rod is in good condition. The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show some dents, scratches, and weather checking.

The electronics are in good condition.

The nut has been replaced. The cavity has been shielded. It is equipped with Bartolini XTCT and MCT-375 pickups. The pickups have been replaced with DELANO JC 5 AL pickups. Accordingly, all wiring and potentiometers have been replaced. The tuning pegs have been replaced with GOTOH parts. The tension pins have been replaced with HIP SHOT parts.
