Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.

Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This is a 1977 Jazz Bass.

The pot date is 1377540, indicating it was made in 1975.

The neck date is ●074, indicating it was made in 1977.

The age was determined by considering the serial number and other specifications.

The body is made of ash, and the neck and fretboard are made of one-piece maple.

This is a classic combination for the 70s.

While many late 70s Fenders are relatively heavy, this one is remarkably lightweight, weighing less than 4kg. This likely contributes to the instrument's light and airy midrange.

The pickups are original gray bobbins.

The frets have been refretted, and the nut has been replaced accordingly.

It's in a condition where it can continue to be used actively.

The neck pickup's volume pot has been replaced with a current CTS pot.

The capacitor is made by ITW (Illinois Tool Works).

In addition to its tight lows and bright highs, it boasts an attractive, vintage-style, slightly diffused midrange.

This is a lightweight example among the increasingly popular 70's Jazz Basses, making it ideal for those who find weight a concern.

The frets have approximately 95% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but it can be adjusted to about 90 degrees.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show signs of use, with dents, scratches, and paint chips.

The electronics are in good condition.
The guitar has been refretted and re-nutted. The neck pickup volume pot has been replaced with a current CTS pot.
