This is the signature model of Frank Bello, bassist of Anthrax.

It's essentially a bass preamp designed with the ability to control the amount of distortion. (It has a SansAmp-like feel.)

Frank originally used the SansAmp BassDriver.

With this pedal, he aimed for a tone tailored to his style, focusing on a more specific range, and aimed for simple and easy-to-use controls.

DRIVE controls the amount of distortion, while LOW and HIGH are active EQ controls that adjust each separately.

It also features two unusual switches.

FILTH increases the presence component, creating a sound with more attack.

DIRT provides an even stronger drive sound.

He himself says he uses a setting with DRIVE at 12 o'clock, HIGH at 3 o'clock, LOW at 1 o'clock, and FILTH on.

He probably likes a trebly, gritty attack sound!

This product is signed by Frank himself.

He signed it during his live performance in Japan in April 2026.

〇SPECS

DRIVE: Adjusts the overall gain and amount of overdrive.

LOW, HIGH: Active tone controls. Cuts or boosts from the 12 o'clock position. This post-EQ section allows for complete tone control at your fingertips. Boosting Low and High compensates for the limited range of speaker cabinets and combo amps. (See page 1/4 “Universal Output” on the previous page)
Hint: Set the EQ flat on your mixing board and adjust the SansAmp to your liking. If you need a more complex EQ curve, use an equalizer on your console or outboard gear.

LEVEL
It is recommended to set it to at least half (12 o'clock). When using with an amp: It must be at unity gain (close to or equal to the bypass signal). Overloading the amp input may result in undesirable distortion.

DIRT Switch
Adds gain boost and overdrive for an “over-the-top” ferocity!

FILTH Switch
Adds top-end sizzle and a razor-sharp edge, emphasizing the attack.
