This is the latest model, the "New Generation" V7 Vintage Ash-5, modeled after a 1970s JB bass.
While a replica of a 1970s model, it incorporates modern features such as active circuitry, Luminlay construction, and lightweight hardware.
The body is made of Swamp Ash.
The neck is 34-inch scale Hard Maple, and the fingerboard is also Hard Maple. The black binding and block inlays evoke the distinctive style of the 1970s.
The fingerboard features an edgeless finish with rounded edges, making it suitable for players who prefer smooth fingering.
Most players will likely find this feature appealing.
The fingerboard radius is 7.25 inches, faithfully reproducing the vintage style.
This bass features a newly designed Marcus Vintage-J Revolution Pickup set.
It boasts a tight, trebly sound characteristic of 70s JB basses.
