The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.

Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.

However, the brand's quality is still supported by many artists and continues to be in demand.

This model is a PB57, faithfully reproducing the style of the 1957 PB.

Based on the specifications listed in the catalog at the time (the pickups are not USA-made, the bridge is not spiral), we have determined it to be a PB57-53.

The body is made of basswood.

The neck and fingerboard are made of 1P maple.

This combination is characterized by a dry midrange.

The pickups are original. The volume and tone pots have been replaced with CTS parts.

The electronics, including the jacks, wiring, and capacitors, have also been rewired and upgraded.

This bass features a powerful low end characteristic of Fender Precision Basses, combined with an open midrange produced by the relatively lightweight body and fretboard.

With its unchanging standard specifications, it fits a wide range of genres, including R&B, rock, and pop.

The frets have approximately 80% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show scratches and dents. The scratches are particularly noticeable on the back of the body.

The electronics are in good condition. The volume and tone pots have been replaced with CTS parts. The electronics, including the jacks, wiring, and capacitors, have also been rewired and upgraded. The pickguard has been replaced with an anodized one.
