Woofy Basses is GIB's original brand.

The reason we launched this brand is because, while running our store, we were often asked for bass recommendations, and we needed a brand we could confidently recommend.

Brands like Yamaha, Ibanez, Bacchus, and Fender are excellent, but because they are not our own brands, we don't have complete control over them. (We don't carry all of these brands.)

In that sense, we needed to create a bass that we could wholeheartedly recommend with confidence.

First, we participated in trade shows in China to find factories that offered a good balance of price and quality, and negotiated directly with them.

After comparing many factories, we successfully partnered with one that possessed high technical capabilities.

We manufacture our basses under strict quality control.

After manufacturing in China, we conduct multiple rigorous quality inspections.

Only high-quality products are imported, adjusted by our specialist staff in Japan, and inspected again before shipment.

The ONE series is especially recommended for beginners, with a lineup focused on the under 50,000 yen price range.

While we don't claim it's on par with high-end basses, this bass was designed to provide peace of mind for those buying their first 5-string bass or those just starting out.

The Woo 5 is a model with the style of a 5-string PB.

It aims for ease of playing, a powerful sound, and a clear, resonant low B string.

For beginners, the most important thing is playability (ease of playing).

If this isn't guaranteed, you won't be able to play the phrases you want because of the instrument. It won't be a lack of practice, but the instrument itself.

For beginners who can't distinguish between lack of practice and an instrument problem, this is extremely important.

The nut, neck curvature, string height, and pickup height—all factors affecting playability—are carefully adjusted one by one in Japan by our expert staff.

Because the adjustments are made with the assumption that the buyer will be a beginner, you can start practicing bass with confidence from the moment you receive it.

Whether it's adjusting high-end models costing over 1 million yen, fulfilling adjustment requests from professional musicians, or adjusting Woofy Basses, we perform all our work with the same level of care.
We do not cut costs in terms of labor.

However, many people may be concerned about the fretwork on basses in this price range.
In reality, many instruments with reduced costs have poorly finished frets, resulting in playability issues.

That's why every Woofy Bass product is inspected by GIB's expert staff.

We perform thorough setups, ensuring that each instrument is ready to play comfortably from the moment it arrives.

Furthermore, while pursuing cost-effectiveness, we do not compromise on crucial parts that directly affect sound and playability.

In particular, we are very particular about the pickups, which are the microphones that capture string vibrations.

We prioritize clear and distinct sound production.

This ensures that your playing is clearly audible and allows for a well-balanced sound within an ensemble.

While we may not offer products suitable for professional stages, we provide reliable products for beginners.

We do not engage in secondary distribution (wholesale).

By limiting sales to direct sales from GIB, we pursue maximum quality while keeping prices down.
