D'mark Guitars is a Brazilian guitar brand that has been around since 1998.
Its quality is highly regarded, and it has gained support not only from South American musicians but also from European and American musicians such as Andrew Gouche.
This particular instrument is a JbX8 from the Special Reserve Series, specially assembled for Japan at the request of GIB.
As is typical of Brazil, a country rich in forest resources, high-quality woods are skillfully combined to create a beautiful bass guitar.
The body top is made of beautiful Exotic Imbuia.
As you can see, it's a super-grade wood.
The body back is made of Brazilian Cedar.
The neck is made of Brazilian Hard Marfim.
While it may be an unfamiliar wood, its high strength makes it suitable for use in heavy-duty applications such as floors and chairs.
It's perfectly suited for a neck.
The fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro.
It features a 10-22" compound radius, ensuring excellent playability from the lower to the higher positions. The pickups and preamp are original.
It features a 3-band EQ, with controls for volume, balance, treble, middle, bass, preamp bypass switch, and middle frequency switch.
Unlike the Alpha and Omega models, which utilize a neck-through construction, the JbX has a bolt-on joint, giving it a stronger JB feel.
It offers a seamless connection from the low to high strings, fully expressing the player's musical sensibilities.
While South American instruments are known for their high quality and individuality, many are so unique that they can be challenging to integrate into the predominantly North American electric bass style.
However, this brand, which has gained increasing recognition in recent years, blends North American style, resulting in a more approachable finish.
