Description & Condition

Freedom is a Tokyo-based guitar workshop that enjoys overwhelming support from professional musicians in Japan, and in recent years, its name has begun to resonate overseas.

Originally highly regarded for its repair work, the company now focuses on manufacturing, and its creations are loved by many musicians for their high quality and rational design sense.

All basses from this brand are manufactured in Tokyo.

Through strict quality control, the wood used is carefully selected, and any wood that does not meet the standards is not used in the products.

This level of quality control is possible precisely because it is a small workshop.

In that sense, the quality is fundamentally different from that of products made in large factories.

This model is a modern bass made by Freedom, a company with a deep understanding of vintage guitars.

The body top is a laminate of figured maple and wenge.

The body back is a combination of wenge and mahogany.

The body color is "Sunset Boss."

Its extremely exotic and luxurious look is very appealing.

The neck is a 3-piece laminate type made of maple and wenge, and the fingerboard is Indian rosewood.

The technique of laminating multiple pieces of wood together to create the neck reduces left-right and individual differences, resulting in greater stability.

The preamp has a pushy nuance, giving it a good active feel.

The acoustic aspects are neatly done, which I think you'll find pleasing in this respect.

While possessing a wide tonal range, the sound has a softness to it, without losing its clear pitch definition.

The excellent balance when held will feel natural to players familiar with Fender guitars, and should feel as comfortable as an instrument they've owned for many years.

The frets have approximately 70% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paint surface show some scratches and dents. There are scratches on the pickup covers, which appear to have been caused by picking.

The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
