Description & Condition

Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo that specializes in fully custom-made guitars that fulfill all customer requests.

Their regular models (although most of them are one-offs), created using the knowledge and skills they have cultivated over many years, are also highly acclaimed.

The brand is also trusted by musicians, with Sago artists including Tabuchi of Unison Square Garden, RIO of Mary's Blood, and Kusakari of Sakanaction.

This model is based on the classic JB.

The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood, a classic construction.

The neck is made of thermo maple.
Thermo maple was originally a building material used in Finnish saunas, and is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Perhaps this influence results in a smooth attack and a comfortable response.

The pickups are original.

The handle of the 1st-string tuning machine is bent, but this does not affect operation.

The sound is unique, with the robust bass register characteristic of Sago.

While it has a modern, wide range, it also has a well-crafted, rich mid-range, making it a perfect fit for any ensemble.

Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in poor condition, showing signs of high-rise. Adjusting it 0.2mm higher than the GIB standard (2.2mm-2.7mm) allows for smooth playability.
The body and finish show scattered minor scratches and dents. There is a noticeable dent measuring approximately 15.0mm on the back of the body. There are also scattered dents and paint peeling on the headstock.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The strap pin has been replaced with a Jim Dunlop one. The handle of the 1st-string tuning machine is bent, but it still works without any problems.
