The designer is a strong geek, and from a truly maniac perspective, he creates beautiful products that shine with universal value.

They are well known for manufacturing truly maniac effect pedals that combine the functionality that bassists want with the cool sound they dream of.

Teyan Tetsuya of Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas and Yoshio Kuroyanagi of SOPHIA are known to be fans of the brand's products.

This is the URBAN COMP EVO, an evolution of the smash hit URBAN COMP.
This masterpiece has been finished with a high-quality, simple look in collaboration with GIB.

Previously it was only available in black, but this time it's a new white color.
I think it has a simple and clean impression that is typical of GIB.

This limited edition model has a gain setting that is less distorted than previous products.

As a result, the direction is to maintain a clear sound even with a large boost from the active bass EQ or other effects.

It's basically a simple compressor, with a modern and aggressive sound.

In addition to the URBAN COMP EVO, we also released the TRIBAL GEYSER in collaboration with GIB, which also has a modern and aggressive sound.

I personally like the fact that the manufacturer's basic stance is consistent with each pedal and that they are faithful to the concept, and I feel that this is consistent with the high quality of the product itself.

The operation as a compressor is determined only by COMP.
This is synonymous with RATIO, as it changes the compression ratio.

Simply set the compression ratio to your liking and determine the balance with the original sound by MIX, and the sound creation itself as a compressor is complete.
In this respect, it can be called a one-knob compressor.

It is attractive that you can get high-quality compression with just this simple operation.

The sound at this point is livelier than the original, with more tension, and the sound image feels like it is pushed overall.

Modern compressors are often designed to avoid excessive compression of the low end.
With this pedal, I think that control with just the MIX knob is sufficient in that regard.

It feels like the UI prioritizes outputting the pure sound intended by the manufacturer, rather than such small details.

One of the distinctive controls on this unit is TONE.
Turn it left for high cut/low pass, and turn it right for high pass/low cut.
I recommend using it to adjust the low center of gravity.

In addition to that, the FRE and ATK controls are useful for creating sounds.
This is like a one-band EQ, with FRE adjusting the center frequency from 100Hz to 2kHz, and ATK adjusting the boost/cut.

The general direction of the sound is controlled by TONE, and the details are controlled by FRE and ATK, so the intention is clear.

Logical and simple. Aggressive sound creation and punchy compression can be achieved with a single compact unit.

It feels like a preamp.

This is a masterpiece that combines a neat UI and a pure, strong concept with a compressor that can be difficult to understand.
