This particular instrument features several practical passive modifications.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of maple, a standard feature.

The pickups are the Coils Boutique/Awesome Groove for 5-Stage J Bass Pickup set, the controls have been changed to passive, and it's equipped with a HUMPBACK capacitor.
The bridge has been replaced with a HIPSHOT Style B and the saddles have been replaced with spiral types.
Compared to the original electronics, it seems to have a more Jazz Bass-like powerful low end and a scooped midrange.
It has also been shielded with copper foil tape.
This is a great modification.
It has a powerful sound with strong lows and attacking highs, typical of Fenders, but it also has a tight, manageable, and well-rounded feel.
