Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.
They manufacture high-quality products using the knowledge and technology cultivated in collaboration with musicians.
Many musicians use their basses, including Teyan Tetsuya of Fear.and Loathing in Las Vegas, who has been using their basses for many years.
Dragonfly offers several models, but this model, the CHB5, features a double-cutaway body design.
JB bass enthusiasts will likely find it appealing.
The body top is made of beautiful Flame Tochigi wood, and the back is Light Ash.
The exotic and luxurious look, characteristic of Dragonfly, is very attractive.
The neck is a 5-piece laminate type made of Hard Maple and Bubinga.
The neck shape is the classic UD neck.
The scale length is 34 inches.
The fingerboard is made of Ebony.
The dense, dark Ebony gives it a luxurious feel.
The frets are stainless steel frets designed in-house.
In fact, Dragonfly was a pioneer in seriously incorporating stainless steel frets into its basses.
The pickups are dual-coil humbucking type.
These can be independently coil-tapped.
The original preamp is appealing because it doesn't become unnaturally boomy even when boosted.
The bass frequency range is slightly higher at 60Hz, which seems to suit modern bassists.
The tuning machines and bridge are made by GOTOH.
The sound is refined, but it certainly has a traditional nuance, and it sincerely fulfills the role of the bass required in an ensemble.
Its straightforward responsiveness is characteristic, and I think it's a sound that can be used in all genres.
A top-notch instrument in both appearance and sound.
Why not take this opportunity to acquire one?
