g7 Special is an original brand of G'Seven Guitars, a guitar shop and repair workshop based in Shinjuku.
It's known for being used by many professional musicians, including HISASHI (GLAY) and Haruichi Shindo (Porno Graffitti). (Titles omitted)
This model is a traditional JB type custom-ordered from GIB.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is Indian rosewood—popular specifications.
The finish is lacquer, in Sherwood Green.
The finish was ordered as g7 Special's unique Half Vintage.
There is no relicing such as weather checking; instead, it has an atmospheric finish that shows the unevenness and aging characteristic of lacquer.
You can fully enjoy its aging process.
This model features a newly developed original single-coil pickup.
While there are 60 and 64 models, this is the 64.
It boasts a clearer and sharper sound.
The bridge is a spiral bridge, not the standard Wilkinson WB2.
This should convey the more traditional approach taken in this order.
It has a pleasantly loose feel and an appealingly open sound.
Both in terms of looks and sound, it has a more vintage feel.
This is a superb instrument that I would recommend to anyone simply looking for a good JB bass.
