EVERTONE GUITARS is a guitar/bass brand of EVERTONE PROJECT, which also manufactures pickups.
EVERTONE PICKUPs from this brand are characterized by their design that takes into account the sound of vintage guitars, behavior suitable for recording, and envelope curves (how the volume changes).
They are also known to be used by Muu (Suspended 4th).
EVERTONE GUITARS incorporates these elements into the design of the entire instrument.
The Walkurey series aims to create instruments that are easy to play and adjust, utilizing modern technology.
It's also worth noting that the design incorporates the sounds of historically acclaimed electric guitars and basses, which are also reflected in EVERTONE PICKUPs.
This model is a long-awaited JB model.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood, a classic wood combination.
The woodworking is done in collaboration with Kino Factory and Wood Custom Guitars.
Their high quality has already been proven by their own brand.
Therefore, there are no concerns regarding that aspect in this model.
This time, it's a Burgundy Mist (BGM) with a matching headstock, as ordered by GIB.
While various Burgundy Mist finishes are released by different companies, the color of this instrument is exquisitely subtle and elegant.
It has a beautiful finish that combines a calm atmosphere with a strong presence.
The pickup is, of course, the NEWTONE JB WCG GENE from EVERTONE PICKUP.
As mentioned earlier, the basic concept is to control the moment of attack peak by designing the envelope curve.
The WCG GENE has relatively modern characteristics and brings out the instrument's original sound purely and to the maximum.
The most distinctive feature of this model is the adoption of the NEWTONE SWITCH (envelope correction circuit).
This bass features a 3-way switch with three settings: MILD (top switch position), FAST&Clear (middle switch position), and FAST&BITE (bottom switch position), each offering a different transient shape.
The MILD setting provides a gentle attack and release.
This would be useful for soft, long-tone passages like ballads.
The FAST&Clear setting is characterized by a fast decay and would shine in fast BPMs and intricate phrases.
The FAST&BITE setting offers a quick response and a strong, responsive harmonic presence.
This setting would be ideal for creating cool sounds in slap bass phrases with many ghost notes.
The overall impression is that of a slightly modern jazz bass.
It's smooth and easy to handle, yet possesses a classic, deep character.
