Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.

Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This is a 1974 Jazz Bass.

Each potentiometer is stamped with ""1377429,"" ""1●●●●●●,"" and ""13774429.""

The neck pickup is stamped with ""183774.""

The year was determined from other specifications.

The body is alder, and the neck and fretboard are maple.

While the combination of ash and maple might come to mind when thinking of the 70s, the combination of alder and maple, with its light midrange, is also highly recommended.

The color is Olympic White.

Based on the remaining paint in the neck pocket and other areas, it was determined to be original.

Olympic White only existed as a custom color until 1974.

Considering the above specifications, this instrument is quite rare.

The frets were determined to be original based on the remaining binding.

Although they have been leveled many times and the remaining fret life is low, the current playability is relatively good.

The nut has been replaced.

The pickups are original gray bobbins.

The fast, tight sound characteristic of the 70s is distinctive, yet the open midrange nuance is a unique charm of this instrument, which combines alder and maple.

Approximately 50% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck has a slight forward bow towards the treble strings. There is some headstock warping. Currently, the string spacing at the 12th fret is 2.0mm-2.5mm according to GIB standards, and it is playable without any problems.

The body and paint surface show some minor scratches and dents. Weather checking and paint discoloration are visible throughout the body. There is a buckle scratch of about 7cm on the back of the body.

The electronics are in good condition.

The nut has been replaced. Some soldering has been done to the neck pickup.

Controls: Neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, master tone
Nut width: 38.5mm
Bridge string spacing: 19.0mm
Scale: 34 inches
Year of manufacture: 1974
Country of manufacture: USA

During setup, we use Stringjoy strings, which we import and sell.

Stringjoy strings from Nashville are characterized by their silky feel, providing a rich low end and a sound with abundant, natural harmonics.

These are high-quality strings that bring out the best in the instrument's performance and character, so please enjoy them.

GIB's craftsmen will adjust the guitar for optimal playability before delivery.
