Tsubasa Guitar Workshop is a brand by Chiaki Tanaka, known for his work on Fullertone guitars.
He has a particularly strong reputation for creating basses with vintage-style motifs, based on his previous work.
This is The Earth, a model based on the traditional PB.
I ordered it from GIB.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood—a classic combination.
It has a heavily aged finish, giving it a dignified look.
The color is 2TS, and it's paired with a gold anodized pickguard.
The pickups are original.
They are completely handmade by Chiaki Tanaka in his own workshop, from coil winding to magnetization.
They possess a vintage-like feel while also having a wide range that matches the modern music scene.
The pots are CTS, and the capacitors are Orange Drop.
The hardware is all GOTOH.
This bass boasts a sound with an open midrange reminiscent of vintage instruments, a light and comfortable playing feel, and the high playability characteristic of domestically handcrafted instruments.
