Description & Condition
Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top-tier musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients. (Titles omitted)
This model is the Japanese-made Metroline, which has unfortunately been discontinued.
It combines the sound and playability of the original NYC model with the high level of Japanese craftsmanship, and remains a highly popular series in the market even after production has ended.
This is the MV4, which follows the traditional JB style.
The body is made of ash, and the neck and fingerboard are made of maple.
This classic wood material, reminiscent of legendary 70s models, is characterized by its extremely tight sound, fast attack, and clear attack.
The electronics feature Sadowsky's original pickups and a powerful active preamp.
It outputs sparkling high frequencies that are not harsh on the ears, and tight low frequencies that firmly support the bottom end of an ensemble.
In addition to treble and bass EQ controls, a key feature is the inclusion of a passive tone control.
This allows for seamless access to a range of tones, from modern, punchy sounds perfect for slap bass to mellow tones suitable for old-school fingerstyle playing, all with just a touch of your finger.
It perfectly combines a refined tone—a quintessential example of an active bass—with the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of Japanese-made instruments.
If you're looking for a bass with a clear, cutting sound that won't get lost in the mix and a robust build that performs reliably in any environment, this is a masterpiece you should definitely consider.
This instrument has undergone precise fret leveling using PLEK technology.
All frets are perfectly level, theoretically resulting in a stable tone without buzz.

The neck is in good condition.
