Description & Condition
Description & Condition
It is loved by countless top artists such as Thurston Moore, Thom Yorke, and Kenta Kataoka.
The Jazzmaster was released by Fender in 1958 as a higher-end model.
It was initially released as a jazz-only model, but the Jazzmaster's fat sound and cool looks have made it a favorite of many artists and colored the underground music scene.
Today, it is a popular model used by many rock artists.
This model is the signature model of Mr. J. Mascis, frontman of the American alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr.
This model was released by Fender Japan in 2007 and was only produced for a short period of time until 2011, and is currently at a premium.
This model has a purple sparkle-colored body and an anodized pickguard mounted as a major feature unique to this model.
It is finished with a very conspicuous and flashy look.
Fender Japan often uses basswood for the body material, but this model uses traditional alder.
The wood is not only for the looks, but also for the wood itself.
The neck is made of standard maple.
It is finished with a satin finish, which gives it a silky smooth feel and good glide when moving from one position to another.
The bridge is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic type bridge, which is rare for the Jazzmaster.
This improves tuning stability and the Jazzmaster's greatest weakness, string drop.
This is one of Mr. J. Mascis' favorites, with a flashy look not found in other models and modern specs for real-world use.
How about this opportunity?
The remaining frets are approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly high, but the string height is 2.5mm to 2.0mm.
We can deliver the guitar after fret adjustment and refretting, etc. Please let us know if you would like us to do so.
There is no major damage on the body and paint surface, but there are some scratches and small dents on the back of the body.
There is a 2mm scratch on the neck, a few dents on the head, and scratches and dings on the metal parts and pickguard.
There is a slight bump on the fingerboard and neck that does not interfere with playing.
Tremolo arm is missing.
