Sadowsky is a New York high street brand whose clientele includes top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Until now, Metroline Express has been manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, the manufacturing location was changed to a factory in China.
The high quality has been maintained while keeping the selling price low, giving the product a very unique presence in the same price range.
When the Metroline Express series first came out, it did not have the Sadowsky logo, but this has been successfully changed.
In addition, the neck has been changed to a roasted maple.
It has a satin finish and is smooth to the touch.
The back panel, like Warwick's, does not require screws.
If you look inside the cavity, you can see that it has been sealed with copper foil tape. Excellent.
The pickups are hum cancel type like Sadowsky.
The pre-amp base is almost the same as the top-of-the-range models priced at around 1 million yen, and I think this is a big advantage.
Controls are volume, balancer, bass and treble.
A push-pull switch allows the active circuit to be bypassed for passive playing.
The powerful, crisp sound sounds a little more flamboyant than recent NYC models.
Some people may prefer this one if they only listen to the sound.
It seems that it would not be easy to produce a product of the same high quality in the same price range.
