K-Line Guitars is a handmade guitar brand created by Chris Kroenlein in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

He originally started out as a parts caster, assembling necks and bodies, and founded K-Line after receiving positive feedback from other players.

Currently, he handles everything from body and neck processing to painting in-house, finishing each guitar individually in his small workshop.

He is particularly acclaimed for his lacquer finish and aged finish, which are renowned for their natural look reminiscent of vintage Fender guitars.

This particular instrument is a K-Line JB-style bass, the Junction Bass.

The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood—a classic combination reminiscent of a 1960s JB.

The color is red, and the headstock is painted the same color as the body, creating a matching headstock finish.

The entire instrument has been relic-finished, with paint chipping, dents, and tarnished metal parts, giving it the appearance of a bass that has been played for many years. The combination with the tortoiseshell pickguard creates a very atmospheric feel.

The controls are a passive circuit with 2 volume and 1 tone.

The pickups are original.

The nut width is a slim 38.5mm, typical of a JB, making the neck easy to grip even for those with small hands.

It boasts a well-balanced midrange characteristic of an alder body and a warm sound thanks to the rosewood fingerboard.
