Firstman was a Japanese brand that was active during the GS (Group Sounds) boom of the 1960s.
It's what's known as ""Japan Vintage.""
This is a BAROQUE BASS, modeled after a violin bass.
The body and neck are likely maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
Information about this model is scarce, but it features a hollow body that is slightly larger than a violin bass.
The rich, bouncy sound is unique to this style.
It's a highly sought-after instrument among enthusiasts.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
