WARMOTH is an American brand that manufactures high-quality replacement necks and bodies, and is highly regarded by many luthiers and players.
This instrument is a unique TL-style component bass built on a WARMOTH body and neck.
The body is likely mahogany, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It is equipped with Artec EBC4-CR humbucker pickups.
The controls are a simple volume and tone configuration, and the mini-switch is a dummy and unwired.
The sound is appealing for its rugged thickness, combining the straightforward response of Fender-style basses with the fat, gritty nuances of Gibson-style basses.
This is a bass we highly recommend for those seeking a unique look and a thick tone.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is unadjustable due to a stripped nut. Currently, it has a back bow.
The neck currently has a buzzing issue from the open strings up to around the 3rd fret, even with GIB's standard adjustment (2.0mm-2.5mm at the 12th fret). To completely eliminate this buzzing, the string height needs to be raised by approximately 0.5mm.
The body and paintwork show a paint chip of about 10.0mm near the joint. There are scattered scratches on the pickguard.
The electronics are in good condition.
The mini-switch is a dummy.
