Spector is a guitar and bass brand founded in 1974 by Stuart Spector in New York.
Initially, Vinny Fodera, who would later establish Fodera Guitars, also worked at the Spector workshop.
The brand's NS models gained explosive popularity worldwide, and these were created in collaboration with Ned Steinberger.
This is a USA-made NS-2J.
While the NS-2 features a PJ layout and a neck-through design, the NS-2J uses a bolt-on joint and a JJ layout.
The body is constructed with a mahogany back and a flamed maple top.
The combination of the oriental wood grain and the Moss Green color is attractive.
The neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It features EMG-SJ5 pickups.
It also has an original 2-band EQ preamp, supporting flexible sound shaping.
The clear, massive, and high-speed sound with its strong emphasis on pitch is both practical and truly musical.
It tightly supports the foundation of the ensemble while maintaining a strong presence without ever getting lost in the mix.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with minor dents and scratches scattered throughout. The areas around each knob are discolored white. There is a paint chip of about 10.0mm near the neck pickup.
The electronics are in good condition.
All knobs have been replaced.
