Description & Condition
It is loved by countless top artists such as James Jemerson, Bobby Vega, Michael League, and many more.
The Precision Bass was the world's first solid electric bass with frets, and quickly captivated bassists around the world.
More than half a century after its birth, its brilliance remains unchanged and beloved.
Fender basses from the 1970s were not as popular as those from the 1960s until now.
However, in recent years, their value has been reevaluated and the number of bassists who use them on stage has increased.
The price of 1970s fender basses has been soaring due to their high quality sound and scarcity.
This model is a PB manufactured in 1977.
The body is probably ash.
The fingerboard is maple. The wood composition is typical of this age.
It has a bold modification, which is in a way 1970s-like.
The PU has been replaced with an EMG.
The pots have been replaced along with it.
The battery is in the cavity.
The bridge is BADASS II, which has a gentle string bend and is heavy.
The nut has been replaced, and the fingerboard surface paint has a different texture than the grip area, suggesting that it may have been refretted and repainted.
In fact, the neck is in very clean condition.
I believe the pickguard has also been replaced.
The sound is tight, strong and massive.
High quality replacement parts such as EMG and BADASS, combined with the inertia of being an older instrument, blend together perfectly.
I personally like the feeling of this instrument, which is both modern and vintage.
I believe that once you play it, you will feel the charm of this instrument. I recommend it.
The stamp on the back of the neck is 0103 467● (I couldn't read the last part).
The remaining frets are about 60%.
The truss rod is slightly loose, but we have confirmed that it works about 90°.
The neck is in good condition. Overall, dents and color burn are noticeable.
The condition of the body and painted surface is marked by dents, dull paint, and seal marks.
The electrical system is in good condition.
