While the flagship BN has unique elements such as a wood cover and 34.5 inches, the VF is more Fender-like in that respect, with a resin cover and 34 inches.
The specs are reminiscent of 70's Fender with an ash body, maple neck, and pasted maple fingerboard.
Aguilar PJ style pickups and original preamp are mounted.
It is natural and smooth to play, yet has a very open nuance.
The EQ is simply boost only.
Therefore, switching to passive does not change the sound and is very easy to use.
