Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Using the knowledge and technology cultivated with musicians, we manufacture high quality products.
Many musicians use the brand's basses, including Tejan Tetsuya of Fear.and Loathing in Las Vegas, who has been using the brand's basses for many years.
There are several models of dragonfly, and this model is the CHB 5, which features a body design with a double cutaway.
JB lovers will also feel a sense of familiarity with this model.
The bridge is made by specially ordered GOTOH, all machined brass, and weighs 270 grams.
The normal one is made of die-cast zinc and steel and weighs 198g.
It looks almost the same, but it is a perfect bridge that matches the concept of dragonfly.
Ash is used for the body back and ziricote for the top top, giving it an exotic look.
This wood is rarely used for the fingerboard by high-end brands, but not often for the body top.
The fingerboard is Perferro.
The frets are stainless steel frets designed in-house.
In fact, dragonfly was a pioneer in introducing stainless steel frets to their basses.
The original preamp is attractive in that there is no weird boomy sound even when boosted.
The BASS bandwidth is a little higher at 60Hz, which seems to be a good match for modern bassists.
The sound has a traditional nuance and performs the role of bass required in an ensemble with sincerity.
The sound is characterized by straightforward responsiveness and can be used in all genres.
Controls include volume, balancer, passive tone (push/pull active/passive), EQ (Treble, Middle, Bass), hum/single switch for each PU, and middle frequency switch.
Very little fret wear.
Truss rod operation and neck are in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface has a 10mm ding on the body back near the horn.
The rest of the body is relatively clean and can be described as like new.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
