While Sire carries a strong JB-style image, this M Series features modern characteristics and is highly regarded.
This model is the new M6-4.
It inherits the body shape of the M Series, incorporating a headless design and multi-scale for a more modern specification.
The body is constructed from Swamp Ash.
The finish on the fingerboard and frets is outstanding.
While expected in this price range, the quality is so high it holds its own even when compared to guitars in significantly higher price brackets.
The scale length is relatively relaxed at 33-34.5 inches, meaning players accustomed to standard JB types should experience minimal discomfort.
It features original humbucking pickups and a 3-band EQ preamp.
These are named the Marcus Pure-H Revolution Set and the Marcus Miller Heritage-3 with Middle Frequency Control.
Controls are diverse yet simple: Volume/Tone (dual pots), Pickup Blender, Treble, Middle/Mid Frequency (dual pots), Bass, Mini Toggle (Active & Passive), and 2 Mini Toggles (Pickup Series/Split/Parallel).
