Secret EFX is an Italian brand founded by Luca Cesaroni.
He has worked in the music and guitar industry for many years and started the brand to create products that were needed in his line of work but did not exist in the world.
The main electronic design is done by his friend Guido Borghesani.
Guido is a professional engineer and is trusted to work in various fields ranging from medical equipment and contemporary art as well as audio equipment.
The use of distinctive enclosures is part of Secret EFX's appeal, but the idea came to Luca in a store selling military disposals.
I met Luca at a guitar show in Europe.
I immediately understood from our conversation that he has a passion for guitars, respect for artists, and a great personality.
He explained each of his products to me on the spot with actual sound, and I was completely convinced and decided to enter into a partnership with him.
Awake Clean Tube Booster is a clean booster with a vacuum tube at its core.
It enhances guitars and basses over their full range without losing their natural overtones.
It is basically a pure and simple pedal with a wide dynamic range, but its distinctive feature is the strength of its low midrange.
You can feel the texture of the so-called low mid around 100-300Hz being pushed slightly. This bandwidth is easily felt by both guitar and bass players, and I think many people will like this easy-to-understand quality.
