Pensa Custom Guitars (Pensa) is known as the private brand of Rudy's, a famous store in New York City.
It was formerly known as Pensa Suhr Custom.

Rudy's has produced many great builders, including John Suhr, Stephen Marchione, Mas Hino, and Jimmy Coppolo (titles omitted), all of whom worked at Rudy's.

Top musicians such as Nathan East, Richard Bona, Victor Bailey, and John Mayer were well-known customers of Rudy's and patronized the private label Pensa.

With such top musicians in the New York area as its customers, Rudy's has been constantly updating Pensa's creations.

This model is an outboard preamp for bass.
This is an established model that has been ordered by musicians such as Marcus Miller, Richiard Bona, and others.

The controls are simple: treble boost cut and bass boost only.

The sound is clear and powerful to some extent just by passing it through.
It is by no means natural.
