G&L is the third brand created by Leo Fender after Fender and Musicman.
G&L is loved by many artists such as Will Ray, Shingo Kanehiro, and chay.
G&L has several series according to the manufacturing method and price range, and this is the Tribute series manufactured in Indonesia.
This model is manufactured in Indonesia to keep down the cost, while using pickups and other hardware similar to those used in the original USA model, and has authentic specifications.
This model is the BLUESBOY SEMI-HOLLOW, which is an idea added to the flagship model, ASAT Classic.
The body is made of poplar and the top is swamp ash.
The semi-hollow construction with f-holes gives it a sound that is somewhere between solid and acoustic, with a good boxy and tight feel.
The neck and fingerboard are maple.
The fretboard radius is slightly flatter than that of the original Fender, which makes it stress-free and easy to play.
Pickups are G&L original humbuckers in the neck and MFD (Magnetic Field Design) in the bridge.
The MFD design has a ceramic magnet placed under the coil to increase the output and reduce the number of coil turns, thus eliminating the lack of power and noise that was considered a weak point of single coil pickups.
Furthermore, the height of the hole piece can be adjusted on this pickup.
This is a rare structure for single coil pickups, and is a great feature for guitarists who want to precisely adjust the volume balance for each string.
It has a fat sound in the neck position and a crisp, edgy sound in the bridge position, each with their own attractive sounds.
The bridge features a 6-way saddle bridge.
Conventional Telecasters had two strings on one saddle, making it impossible to perform accurate octave tuning, but this one allows accurate tuning for each string.
This is a gem that combines the modern Telecaster sound with a fat sound.
