Dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.
They manufacture high-quality products using knowledge and technology cultivated in collaboration with musicians.
Many musicians use their basses; for example, Tetsuya Teyan of Fear.and Loathing in Las Vegas has been using Dragonfly basses for many years.
Dragonfly offers several models, but this model is the CL-DJB5, modeled after a classic JB type.
It's a simple, high-quality 5-string active JB, and several aspects can be customized.
At GIB, we specified the Darkglass Tone Capsule as the preamp.
This preamp has a very modern feel and a strong character.
It outputs a punchy sound with a noticeable compression.
For those who prefer a more natural, passive-like sound, we recommend the model equipped with Dragonfly's original preamp.
Controls include volume, balance, tone, treble, middle, bass, and a preamp on/off switch.
The body is made of alder, and the fretboard is maple.
It's a traditional construction.
The sound is excellent, delivering a sharp, powerful, and clear tone.
I think it's one of the ideal JB sounds for today's market.
As expected from Dragonfly, the smooth playability is also appealing.
Simply put, it's a high-quality instrument, and I'd recommend this series to anyone looking for a 5-string JB.

Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for lifetime free "String Vibration Setup" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)
・Please present your warranty card with your name filled in.
・Only applicable to the person who purchased the instrument at a GIB or TONIQ physical store or online shop.
・Please bear the cost of shipping and other miscellaneous expenses.
●Re-purchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your purchased item within 6 months of purchase, we guarantee the buy-back price. The price is 50% for new items and 70% for used items.
●Warranty against defects
Basic Co., Ltd. provides a warranty against defects for products sold by the company. Excluding some products such as consigned items, we will repair (or refund if repair is not possible) any malfunctions that occur during normal use within a certain warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge.
The warranty period is 3 months for used products and 1 year for new products.
Please note that the following cases will incur a charge even within the warranty period:
* Malfunctions and damage caused by transportation, movement, dropping, etc.
* Replacement of consumables.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by handling contrary to the precautions described in the instruction manual.
* Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by a party other than our company.
* If the warranty card does not have your name, model name, serial number, etc. filled in, or if the wording has been altered.
* Failure to present the warranty card, or if it is lost.
