Description & Condition
Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.
In Japan, Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ of indigo jam unit, Katsuji Morioka and many other famous musicians outside Japan, such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith and Travis Carlton, are using the brand.
The XJ-1T, XP-1T and XPJ-1T series have been highly regarded, especially by studio workers, as a line manufactured in Japan.
This is the XPJ-1T, equipped with PJ pickups.
Very early one with early logo and serial 0003.
This type is equipped with Xotic original PU as it is X-stamped.
Body is Ash, fingerboard is Maple and classic wood construction.
Unusually for a Precision (PJ) style, it has a pre-amp.
This pre-amp is highly regarded for its small difference in character change on and off, and for being very natural.
This characteristic is also useful in Precision basses, allowing fine equalisation and impedance conversion without losing the passive feel.
It can also be driven passively by pulling up the tone knob.
This is a practical finish that offers excellent playability and a neat sound.
There are roughly 80% frets remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paintwork is relatively clean with some minor dents and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
Controls: neck volume/bridge volume, master tone - push/pull (active/passive), bass, middle, treble, middle frequency switch, treble frequency switch, preamp gain (in cavity).
Nut width : 42.3 mm
Pitch between strings at bridge: 19.0 mm

A Stringjoy is used in the setup, which is imported and sold by us.
Made in Nashville, Stringjoy strings are characterised by a silky feel, with plenty of low end and rich, natural overtones.
These are high quality strings that bring out the best performance and character of the instrument, so please enjoy them as well.
The GIB craftsmen have adjusted them to make them easy to play and deliver them to you.
