Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese guitar builder Hiro Miura.
Domestically, its guitars are used by many famous musicians, including Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ of indigo jam unit, and Katsuji Morioka, as well as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton, among others.
This is a special guitar custom-ordered by GIB.
The XJ series, a Japanese-made line, has been highly praised, especially by studio workers.
While generally built in Fender style, it has been updated with some modern touches.
The neck joint is positioned slightly differently than usual, which you'll notice when you hold it, makes it easier for your left hand to reach the higher positions.
This guitar is designed for modern musicians who use the entire fingerboard evenly.
It features an alder body and maple fingerboard, a traditional wood construction.
The fingerboard is slightly longer and it has 22 frets.
The finish is lacquer, and the color specified was GOLD METALLIC, Super Light Aged.
Combined with black block inlays, it gives it an elegant look.
While most guitars are finished with a poly finish, the fact that this one is finished with lacquer is a major point.
It has a classic feel both in appearance and sound.
The tuning machines are HIPSHOT Ultralite.
The pickups are Raw Vintage.
These are handmade in California and are characterized by a clear, crisp, and vivid output.
They respond more sensitively to the player's fingertips than before.
The neck pickup is deeper, the bridge pickup more three-dimensional, and the mix produces a clear, tight low end.
The preamp is original to Xotic.
Controls are neck volume (active/passive switch), bridge volume (series/parallel switch), passive tone, treble, middle, bass, mid frequency switch, and treble frequency switch.
The sound is neat, with just the right amount of bass range and pleasant overtones.
It also plays very well, making it an overall high-level guitar.
There's always demand for a traditional-sounding 5-string JB, especially among session and studio musicians.
However, there aren't many products that meet that demand in terms of quality.
I believe the Xotic XJ is one of the products that best meets that demand.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish are generally clean, although there are some scratches on the pickguard.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.

The warranty period is three months for used items and one year for new items.

・Failure or damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
・Failure or damage caused by handling that violates the instructions in the instruction manual.

- If the name, model name, serial number, etc. are not written on the warranty card, or if the wording has been altered.
- If the warranty card is not presented or lost.
