The XJ series, a Japanese-made line, has been highly praised, especially by studio workers.
While built in the Fender style, it has been updated with several modern touches.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic combination.
The pickups are made by Lindy Fralin.
The preamp is a Trilogic.
The gold parts stand out beautifully against the Black Cherry Metallic body.
Combined with the matching headstock, the overall look is luxurious.
The sound is refined, with ample bass and pleasant overtones.
It is also extremely playable, making for an overall high-level guitar.
There's always demand, especially among session and studio musicians, for a JB that combines modern playability and preamp functionality with a traditional sound.
