Vanzandt manufactures high-quality guitars and basses, and has a reputation for high quality manufacturing, especially in vintage style.

This is a passive 5 string JB type.

The body is Alder and the fingerboard is Indian Rosewood, a classic wood composition.

There are bridges that are built in, but this one is not.
It feels more like a classic playing feel.

The PU is of course Vanzandt.
The pot is CTS, the jack is Switchcraft, and the capacitor is Vanzandt brand (0.047mF), which is also perfect.

The specs are classic and the playing feel is just like Fender.

The sound is typical of a jazz bass type, with a powerful low range and aggressive high range.
Still, it has a neat impression and has a charm that makes it more than just a copy.

There are surprisingly few 5-string JBs with this nuance.
That means the bar for this style is high, but I think the Vanzandt brand JB easily surpasses that bar.
