Description & Condition
Description & Condition
A guitar that I custom ordered from Sus Bass has returned in good condition.
The following is the description from that time.
---
Sus bass is a Korean bass brand created by former professional musician Jin Su Lee.
His work, which strikes a chord with musicians, is popular mainly in Korea, and is used by Yeonjun Lee, known for his sessions with SUGA (BTS), TXT, and Yohan Kim, known for his sessions with ITZY. (Titles omitted)
I have connections with Jin Su, Yeonjun, and Yohan, and we have had many discussions about a new project with Sus bass before starting this transaction.
Basically, we place custom orders from GIB, but this is a kind of private stock that was personally made by the builder Jinsu.
I asked for it and purchased it.
The body is alder and the fingerboard is maple, a classic specification.
The neck is roasted flame maple.
As you can see, it's a relic model.
If you order it this way, it will take a long time and there will be a big upcharge.
However, you can see from the photo that it's worth the price.
The bridge and tuning keys are HIPSHOT, which is a bit Western.
The pickups are custom models ordered from Lundgren in Sweden.
These pickups are used by bass brands such as Stenback, and although they are quite niche, they are certainly highly regarded for their high quality.
As they are custom made for Sus bass, they are naturally a great match.
GIB is often ordered in active specifications, but this one uses a passive circuit.
The tone has a tone bypass switch using a push-pull switch. It is expected to be used in situations such as setting preset tones and calling them up with one touch, or bypassing them for a wider range of sounds.
In terms of sound and feel, it is basically a slightly modern 5-string JB.
It doesn't seem like it's trying too hard to be like a Fender.
The transition from the low B string to the G string is smooth, and it feels very well-balanced and easy to play.
The appeal of this guitar is its well-balanced sound, smoothness, and ease of playability across the entire fingerboard.
The dense, massive low end, typical of a maple fingerboard, powerfully reinforces the low B and E strings.
This texture is something that anyone who likes the combination of alder and rose should definitely try.
Personally, I feel the same way about the Alleva Coppolo.
It's more balanced than the Fender and more sticky than the Sadowsky.
In fact, in Korea, it seems to be described as having a feeling somewhere between the Alleva Coppolo and the Sadowsky.
This is a wonderful, excellent guitar that really reflects Jinsu's personality.
Please try it out in store.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paint are relic specifications.
The condition of the electrical system is good.
The strap pin has been replaced with a Jim Dunlop.
