Suhr Guitars is synonymous with high-end guitar brands.
Founder John Suhr started his career at Rudy's, a famous store in New York, and was highly regarded for his work designing amplifiers at CAE and as a master builder at Fender.
Needless to say, he has done a wonderful job with his own brand, Suhr Guitars.
While guitars are particularly popular in Japan, as evidenced by his work at Pensa Suhr and Fender, the basses he creates are also top-notch.
This model is the Classic J, inspired by the JB design.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard features rosewood.
A classic wood configuration.
The neck is made of maple with a straight grain.
It's no longer a given that straight-grained wood is always better, but if you don't select carefully, you can't use such wood.
There is no doubt that this demonstrates a certain level of quality control.
The bridge is a spiral type, and the tuning machines are HIPSHOT Ultralite.
The modern hardware adds a light touch to the sound, which is delivered with the highest playability.
The elegant and beautiful design around the neck is a standout feature, and the quality of this area is truly top-notch for Suhr.
When you combine good hardware with beautiful design and assemble it carefully, it naturally produces great sound—a textbook example of a well-made instrument.
