Description & Condition

Spector is a guitar and bass brand founded in New York by Stuart Spector in 1974.

Shortly after the brand's founding, Vinny Fodera, who would later found Fodera Guitars, also worked in Spector's workshop.

The brand's NS model, which gained worldwide popularity, was developed in collaboration with Ned Steinberger.

This guitar is the NS-JH6, a top-of-the-line USA-made model, featuring an extremely rare bolt-on finish.

The body back is likely mahogany, and the top is beautifully grained spalted maple.

The neck is a three-piece maple, and the fingerboard is thought to be rosewood.

While standard models are equipped with a single-coil + humbucker pickup configuration, this guitar is likely a custom model, equipped with two EMG 40DC pickups.

The preamp has been replaced with a BARTOLINI NTBT, producing a warmer and more powerful tone.

The scale length is 35 inches.

The exquisite combination of solid, extended bass and clear, lush high frequencies produces a flawless sound that's perfect for backing, chord work, and solo playing.

This is an extremely rare guitar, with only a very limited production run.

Recommended for Spector fans as well as players who love modern guitars like Fodera, MTD, and Ken Smith.

Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is stiff but can still move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show scattered dents on the headstock and occasional scratches on the body.
In addition, paint peeling can be seen on the metal parts.
Holes can be seen in the cutaway and bottom of the body, likely where a strap pin has been replaced.
The string pitch adjustment on the 1st-string bridge is stiff. It is currently adjusted to keep the string pitch even.
If you would like to change it, please let us know.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The preamp has been replaced with a BARTOLINI NTBT.
