Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top-tier musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients. (Titles omitted)
This is a rare Sadowsky NYC brand instrument, which seems to have become increasingly difficult to find recently.
This model is a Vintage J Bass, a popular JB-type bass.
It was manufactured in 2014, as determined from the serial number.
The neck end is signed "OAKADA #005 12-17-14-12," indicating that it was distributed by Okada International.
The body is made of alder with the familiar chambered finish, and the fingerboard is made of Morado (Pau Ferro), a classic combination.
The pickups are single-coil, not the hum-canceling type commonly found on Sadowsky basses.
The playing feel is closer to a more traditional JB-type bass than the hum-canceling type.
The preamp is an original 2-band unit.
This electronics combination is, needless to say, superb.
