Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Until now, Metroline guitars were manufactured in Japan, but with Warwick taking over distribution of Sadowsky products, production has moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
Since the Japanese-made Metroline models were originally highly acclaimed, there were concerns about a decline in quality, but seeing the actual instrument shows no need for excessive worry.
The neck feels a little thinner than Japanese-made models, and there are also differences in the roundness of the body joint.
The previous Metroline guitars featured solid bodies.
However, like the NYC model, the new Metroline guitars feature a chambered body.
This makes them lighter, weighing in at just under 3kg, and adds just the right amount of back support to playability.
The excellent electronics produce a powerful sound even with a low string height.
They achieve a high level of balance between playability and sound quality.
The pickups are said to be different from both the old Metroline and NYC pickups, but the sound is refined and beautifully designed.
They're not too peaky and seem easy to play.

The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.
