Description & Condition
NS Design is an American brand founded by Ned Steinberger, known as the inventor of the headless bass.
They are highly regarded for their instruments that redesign traditional stringed instruments for the modern era, such as electric upright basses and electric cellos.
This is an electric upright bass from their CR series.
The scale length is 41.73 inches (106 cm), similar to a double bass, allowing for a playing feel similar to an upright bass.
However, the body is extremely slim, significantly reducing the burden of transport and storage.
The body and neck are made of flame maple, and the fingerboard is ebony.
The beautiful grain of the flame maple gives the modern shape an elegant look.
The pickup is an original piezo type.
The controls include a pizzicato/arco balancer, allowing you to switch the sound character according to your playing style.
The ability to play with a bow is a unique advantage of electric upright basses.
Equipped with treble and bass EQ, it allows for sound shaping to suit the venue.
A dedicated stand is included.
This is a recommended upright bass for those looking for one that is resistant to feedback and easy to handle on stage.
It is a fretless model.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show scratches and minor dents on the body and headstock.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
