Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Michael Tobias Design (MTD) was founded by Michael Tobias, who has been making musical instruments since 1974.
It has been highly praised by the world's top bassists such as Andrew Gouche, Robert "Bubby" Lewis, and Jerry Watts.
Although the production volume is very small, about 10 pieces per month, its ability is widely known.
This is the flagship model 635-24.
This model number indicates a 6-string model with a 35-inch scale and 24-fret fingerboard.
Furthermore, it is a rare fretless model.
The top of the body looks like Poplar Burl.
It has a very distinctive look.
The body back is Ash.
The neck is Ash like MTD.
I feel like it has a texture that makes it sound like it's popping.
The fingerboard is black Ebony.
When the EQ is flat, the bass is tight and the treble is tight, creating a well-balanced sound.
Because it has a neat balance in its basic state, the sound will not collapse even if you actively move the EQ, and even if you change the PU balance, it will sound powerful and bass-like.
The truss rod works well.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface is that there are scratches and dents here and there. A crack was found on the adhesive surface of the body, so it was repaired at GIB.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modification points were found.

These are high-quality strings that bring out the maximum performance and character of your instrument, so please enjoy them as well.
