Description & Condition

Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high quality basses and guitars.
Momose basses and guitars are known for their beautiful looks and excellent sound.

Momose basses are popular among professionals and have been used by top musicians such as Kazuki Isogai and Kyohei Ariga. (Honorifics omitted).

This is the 2024 Winter ONE DAY GUITAR SHOW model.

MP means modern PB model.
Being a Premium series, this one is a SHOW model with special woods.


The most notable feature is the Imbuia Burl on the top of the body.
It is a beautiful wood with a unique grain, and is finished with a clear coating to take advantage of its characteristics.

The body back is made of 1P Ash without lamination.
This is a very luxurious specification, as it is really expensive these days.

The neck is Quarter Sawn Maple and the fingerboard is Ziricote.
The high quality of these may be only possible with the Show model.

The paint is Top Lacquer finish.
The color of the paint changes drastically as the top clear layer discolors.

The balance of using a strong paint such as urethane for the base and using lacquer for the top, which is related to the looks, is very reasonable.

The sound, which includes plenty of shimmering bass and attackee, air-breathing treble, has universal appeal in ensembles.

This is a must-try for the bassist who is not only a hands-on bassist, but also for the bassist who wants to get a special one just for himself.
