Description & Condition
Description & Condition
LAKLAND has earned an overwhelmingly high reputation among professional bass players around the world.
LAKLAND has several lines by grade, but this model is the Shoreline Series, made in Japan, which has an established reputation.
The 44-60 was originally Joe Osborn's signature model, and has a strong traditional orientation within LAKLAND.
Originally built as a sub for his own pre-CBS Fender bass, the concept was to mix modern elements with a nuance that is as close as possible to the pre-CBS Fender bass.
The royal specs combine an Alder body, Maple neck, and Rosewood fingerboard.
The tuning machine is HIPSHOT Ultralite.
This point contributes to the overall lightweight finish and improved balance to prevent the head from falling off.
The rich middle range and lush overtones are common to the traditional JB sound.
In addition to this, a slight tightness typical of LAKLAND and a feeling of the strings plucking the moment they are played are brought to the instrument.
It is a bass sound that is pleasant to play, and will make you dance in an ensemble.
The remaining frets are approximately 80%.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork are in good condition with some scratches and dings. There are screw holes where pickup fences and finger rests would have been attached.
The electrical system is in good condition.
There are no obvious modifications.
