Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Ibanez is a leading Japanese guitar brand that is internationally recognised alongside Fender and Gibson.
Ibanez is a trusted name among professional musicians, with Gary Willis, Fieldy (Korn), Thudercat and many others known to use their products. (Honorifics omitted).
The SR series is one of Ibanez's flagship series, characterised by its slim body and neck shape and powerful electronics.
This model is a bass with a multi-scale of 34‘-35.5’ inches.
By extending the scale on the bass string side, a more massive nuance is added.
The body is made of Okoume and the fingerboard is Ebonol.
It is finished in matt black.
Neck is Maple and Walnut laminate type.
The neck is made by laminating several pieces of wood together to reduce left-right differences and individual differences and to achieve a higher degree of stability.
PU is Bartolini, preamp is original with 3-band EQ.
The mid-range can be switched between 250/450/700 Hz.
The sound and playability aspects are well balanced, as is typical of Ibanez.
The slim neck and compact body ensure playability, while the powerful electronics deliver a quality sound output.
The frets are approximately 85% full.
The truss rod is stiff but has been checked to operate at 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition, with no significant warping or twisting, and is within the correct setting range for good playability.
The body and paintwork are only slightly scuffed, and the overall condition remains very clean.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
