Ibanez is a leading Japanese guitar brand that is internationally recognised alongside Fender and Gibson.
The BTB series has a design that is ideal for multi-string basses and is outstandingly popular.
With a balance of great individuality and practicality, these models are a great example of Ibanez's design ability.
It has a through-neck construction and a 5P laminated Maple and Walnut neck.
The technique of laminating multiple woods together to make the neck is used to reduce left-right differences and individual differences, and to achieve a higher degree of stability.
The body wing section is made of Ash and Okoume.
The fingerboard is Rosewood.
The PU is made by Bartolini.
The scale is 35", which contributes to the tightness of the sound.
The 35" scale doesn't necessarily make it better, but the whole thing is well-designed and excellent, typical of Ibanez.
The big-boned sound of this model has universal value, which is probably why it is favoured by so many bassists.
