Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Gibson is the king of the guitar world, having produced many famous instruments.
Guitar is particularly popular, but bass guitars with their unique looks and rock sound are also very popular.
This model is a 2007 Ripper Bass.
This model had issues with the neck pickup, so it was modified at GIB.
Although this model is originally a 2-pickup design, it features a masculine design with a single humbucking pickup mounted at the rear.
The controls include a neck coil volume, bridge coil volume, master tone, and series/parallel switch, allowing it to function as a single-coil pickup as well.
This modification is recommended for the passive MOD of the Musicman Stingray, and it has been highly praised for its wide range of sound variations and practicality.
The sound is thick, powerful, and punchy.
Compared to the Stingray, it has a slightly tighter and smoother texture.
We highly recommend giving it a try.
The remaining frets are approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck has no significant warping or twisting and is within the proper setting range, ensuring good playability.
The body and finish show overall signs of use, including scratches, dents, and paint reactions.
The electronics are in good condition.
Originally a 2-pickup configuration, the pickguard has been re-made to conceal the neck pickup cavity, leaving only the bridge pickup. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Nordstrand MM4.2, and the wiring has been modified to allow switching between series, parallel, and tap modes. Shielding has been applied inside the cavity.
Controls: Neck coil volume (master volume when in series mode), bridge coil volume, master tone, series/parallel switch
Nut width: 41.2mm
Bridge string spacing: 18.0mm
Scale length: 34 inches
Manufacturing year: 2007
Country of manufacture: USA
We use D'Addario EXL strings, which are trusted by professional musicians, for setup.
Characterised by a powerful attack and rich overtones, these strings offer performance worthy of being called a standard.
These high-quality strings maximise the instrument's performance and character, so please enjoy them together.
GIB craftsmen have adjusted the instrument for ease of playability before delivery.
