G&L은 제조방식과 가격대에 따라 여러 시리즈가 있는데, 이는 인도네시아에서 생산되는 Tribute 시리즈입니다.
이 모델은 원가 절감을 위해 인도네시아에서 생산되지만, 동시에 픽업 등의 하드웨어를 오리지널 USA 모델과 동일하게 사용하며 정통 사양을 갖추고 있습니다.
플래그십 모델인 ASAT Classic 입니다.
텔레캐스터의 창시자인 레오 펜더가 만든 마지막 모델인 텔레캐스터 시리즈의 최종 모델입니다.
몸체는 표준 재로 만들어졌습니다.
바디는 스탠다드 애쉬로 제작되었으며, 물푸레나무의 결을 살려 시스루 내츄럴 마감으로 마감하여 아름다운 외관을 연출합니다.
넥과 지판은 메이플 소재로 제작되었습니다.
프렛보드 반경은 기존 사양의 Fender 기타보다 약간 더 평평하여 기타를 스트레스 없이 쉽게 연주할 수 있습니다.
픽업에는 미국과 마찬가지로 G&L의 가장 큰 특징이라고 할 수 있는 MFD(Magnetic Field Design) 픽업이 탑재됐다.
출력을 높이고 코일 회전 수를 줄이기 위해 코일 아래에 세라믹 자석을 배치함으로써 한때 싱글 코일 픽업의 약점으로 여겨졌던 전력 부족과 소음을 해결하는 데 성공했습니다.
또한, 이 픽업에서는 폴 피스의 높이를 조정할 수 있습니다.
이는 싱글 코일 픽업에서는 보기 드문 기능이며, 각 스트링의 볼륨 밸런스를 정밀하게 조정하려는 기타리스트에게는 훌륭한 기능입니다.
교량은 6방향 안장교를 사용합니다.
기존 텔레캐스터는 하나의 새들에 2개의 스트링이 있어 정확한 옥타브 튜닝이 불가능했지만, 이 브리지를 사용하면 각 스트링에 대한 정밀한 튜닝이 가능합니다.
사운드 측면에서 ASAT는 따뜻하고 선명한 사운드가 특징입니다.
기존 Telecaster 사운드보다 더 두껍고 선명한 버전의 느낌을 주며 클린 톤과 하드 드라이브 사운드 모두 잘 어울립니다.
