Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's beloved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)

The Precision Bass debuted in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid electric bass and has been beloved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.

This Precision Bass was manufactured in the late 1970s.

Although it has an S7 serial number, please understand that it's difficult to say with certainty that it was manufactured in 1977.

The body is made of ash and the fingerboard is made of rosewood.
It's a classic wood construction.

As we'll discuss later, this particular instrument has been well-maintained.
Perhaps '70s instruments don't need to be shy, as many of these are like this.

However, it's also true that with proper care, they can truly show off their true potential.

This is a fantastic instrument.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly raised, and the string height is set at about 2.5mm-3.0mm. There is some looseness at the 18th, 19th, and 20th frets, and there is some buzzing when playing hard in the higher positions.
The body and finish show noticeable paint cracks, dents, and scratches. There are several areas where the pickguard pilot holes have been worn. This does not affect normal playability.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The guitar has been refretted and the nut replaced accordingly. The pickguard has also been replaced (the original PG is included). The potentiometers have been replaced with current CTS models, and the jack has been replaced with current SWITHCRAFT models. The pickups have been replaced with Lindy Fralin models.
