Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.
This model is a Precision Bass manufactured in 1974.
The pickup volume pot date and tone pot date are both ""1377429"".
The gray bobbin pickup is stamped ""73774"".
The neck end is stamped ""0103 3744"".
Considering the specifications and serial number, we determined it was manufactured in 1974.
The body appears to be alder.
It's a lightweight body, weighing less than 4kg.
The fingerboard is maple. This combination features a bright, open midrange.
There was a crack near the neck and first fret, which we repaired.
The pickups are original gray bobbins.
This bass boasts a powerful low end, characteristic of Fender Precision Basses, combined with an open midrange produced by the relatively lightweight body and fretboard.
With its unchanging standard specifications, it fits seamlessly into all genres, including R&B, rock, and pop.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork have cracks and dents, as well as holes where the strap pin was relocated.
The electronics have a slight crackling sound in the tone control.
The jack has been replaced with a current Switchcraft jack.
Refretting, nut replacement, and neck crack repair have been performed by GIB.
